Here are the sketches from mondays Life Drawing. I really loved the model, she did such a good job and had so much fun posing for us. I think I never had such a motivated model before.
I actually planned to upload the Dr. Sketchy sketches today, but my pics are so bad that I have to retake them and will do the update on the weekend. Then finally the blog is back on track and I can update scheduled again. YAY me! =)

Life Drawing
Really Quick update. These are the drawings from last weeks life drawing class. Blogposts got a bit messed up since Berlin.
Drawing her was quite a challange since everything on her was so long and elegant. But I guess I learned some from it and next time I will approach it differently.
This one is quite different since we had about 1,5 h drawing him. We went to the moddeling class and planned moving around, sketching from different angles and all but ended up sitting there totally fascinated getting more and more detail in the drawing. It was super relaxing and I really liked how it came out in the end. Thanks to Jannos who can lie still so nicely for hours!

Posemaniacs and Berlin Sketches
I did these last week while I was at home with the flu. Started off with posemaniac poses and ended up drawing from dance videos because I was facinated by this post on deviantart: Try by *spiritto
Sketches I made travelling Berlin with friends. We got there the first nice weekend this year and had a good time sketching in the sun. On sunday we went to Dr Sketchy's Anti Art School, but the sketches will follow when the photos are on their website. http://www.drsketchy-berlin.de/

Life Drawing, Posemaniacs and a dog =)
Update on figure drawing. We went life drawing lst monday again, sadly just for one hour but it was good fun and I learned a thing or two. And I really liked the model. It was her first time posing ever and she did a good job. Today we will go there again, really looking forward to it.
Also used posemaniacs again for practise. Aimed for half an hour every morning. As you can see I failed that goal, but at least I am getting used to waking up early to work on personal stuff and reduced the time from 1 minute to 30 seconds.
A little something I did for my grandmothers birthday. It is a painting of her dog Malvine who died last year of old age. The plaque says "I stopped living but i have lived". Hope I translated that somewhat right. The dog was rescued by an organisation from eastern Europe when it was about 2 years old and had a happy life with my grandparents.
The painting was fun but I had to rush it. I could have spent a lot more hours on it. But for my first dog painting its quite alright I guess ;)

Life Drawing
Yesterday me and a friend went life drawing. I thought about if I should post what I drew since it's not that great... We havne't been doing it for over one year and it was my first male model. I decided to post it anyway cause I hope to get some feedback and for messuring my progress. There will be life drawing every week for the next 4 weeks (and probably after that as well. I do things for 4 weeks often cause its a goal I can reach. After that I do it for another 4 weeks. Works well for me)
And I got up early today and sketched for about half an hour using posemaniacs pics. Was good fun!
Bobby Chiu says in one of his youtube videos that his drawings throughout the day get better if he sketches first thing in the morning. I expierence today that EVERYTHING is going better, my mood is better as well since I already achieved something which affects everyone around me. I will try to do that regularly now. I can't thank Bobby enough for getting me back on the right track...

Gosh... Finally!
It took quite some time but here it is, my artblog. Since I have to sort out all my older stuff from deviantart to keep the gallery updated I don't have a real overview over my improvement. The thing that got me to finally take a few hours of my time and set things up was Bobby Chiu's Book: The Perfect Bait. I am so thankful for all the advise, help and motivation I got from his words. I recommend it to everyone.
You can find it here --> http://theperfectbait.com/about.php
If you buy the paperback version as I did you'll get the audio stream as well (for one year), for all the apple users there is an app. Give it a look. I am sure you won't be disappointed.
